Before Your Appointment
To make the most of your visit:
- Complete detailed electronic intake forms about your health history, current medications and supplements, and daily habits.
- Gather recent medical records, labs, or imaging to bring with you or send digitally.
- Contact our Front Desk if you need help obtaining past records.
Reviewing this information ahead of time allows your ND to focus the visit on your most important concerns.
During Your Visit
Your first visit lasts 75–90 minutes and may include:
- Discussion of your current health concerns and past medical history
- Review of lab results and imaging from other providers
- Brief physical exam (blood pressure, height, weight) or focused exam (e.g. ears, abdomen)
Visits can be in-person or via secure video, but patients must be physically located in Maryland. Many patients prefer in-person appointments for their first visit, but telemedicine is available.
A Whole-Person Approach
Even if you come in for a specific issue, your ND may explore:
- Digestion and gut health
- Sleep patterns and energy levels
- Stress management and emotional wellness
This helps identify connections between different aspects of your health and prioritize both immediate and long-term needs.
After Your First Visit
By the end of your appointment, you and your ND will have a clear understanding of your health and a plan for addressing your concerns. This first visit lays the foundation for lasting wellness through a patient-centered, integrative approach.
